Scope

Air relief valves are widely used in clear water mains in order to evacuate accumulated air under pressure, for exhaust of air when such mains are charged with water and for ventilating the mains when they are being emptied of water.

Types

  • a) Single air valve:
    • Small orifice type (S1)
    • Large orifice type (S2)
  • b) Double air valve:
    • Standard type with in-built isolating valve (DS1)
    • Without isolating valve (DS2)
  • c) Kinetic air valve: Kinetic air valve (DK)
  • d) Pressure Rating: PN-1.0, PN-1.6
